307. Fish in a Pond

I looked through a photo I took over the weekend and penned for the very first time this poem.

They say I move and look beautiful
They give me a place and become very faithful
They say to all I bring smile and luck
They sometimes wish that me they could pluck

I feel cold, trapped and lonely
I swim, I stand & I fall very gently
I remember a little but I remain in illusion
If I could choose I wish to be you, a human

Eating, sleeping, mating and defending I have done
As one of you, I will do them all in plenty and ton
A day arrives when you feed me God’s mercy
In association, I learn on life and beyond very firmly

From a fish to a human to a devotee I become
I swim in thoughts, walk in the sun and hatred I overcome
Longing to reach all living beings on Earth
I touch them all in their death and birth

294. Quinoa with tomato sauce and paneer

Quinoa with Paneer cubes, rich tomato sauce and garden salad. Quick, simple, healthy!

Rich Tomato Sauce :

  1. Heat Oil
  2. Add Mustard seeds and let them crackle
  3. Add Cumin (if you like)
  4. Add tomato puree
  5. Stir well
  6. Add brown sugar & salt to taste
  7. Stir well again
  8. Add some coriander leaves (if you like)

Paneer

You can buy Paneer cheese from an Indian grocery store or you may want to make one yourself. If making at home, check out the famous Kurma Dasa’s recipe for making Homemade Paneer Cheese
