In the Melbourne temple right now listening to Bhagavatam class on 1.1.20. An interesting point and example was given in the class that got me thinking:
If a burglar sincerely prays to Krishna that he be protected in his stealing endeavors and if a household prays sincerely that they be protected from a burglar, how would Krishna as someone who satisfies His devotees, expertly manage this situation ?
Any answers? Happy Sri Krishna Janmasthami everyone !
I have been away for 3 weeks from my dearest temple – Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir. As I walk up the path leading to the main hall, I can see all the tent setup for the upcoming Janmasthami celebrations. Tomorrow to be exact. I meet some senior devotees on the way who enquire about my health and well-being. It’s like being back with your family.
Right now, I have taken a place to sit on the steps of the altar and listening to a nice lecture on Srimad Bhagavatam 1.1.19 – questions by the sages.
” We never tire of hearing the transcendental pastimes of the personality of Godhead who is glorified by hymns and prayers. Those who have developed a taste for transcendental relationships with Him relish hearing of His pastimes at every moment.”
Wow. We are back to Canto 1 ! But the taste keeps on increasing !
